under the weather

Today, for the second day in a row, Astrid has not been feeling very well. Poor little darlin with her chapped little cheeks. There has been a lot of reading, snuggling, playing inside, kisses from Skagit, long naps, hot baths, and more reading...

But this week, although she has not been herself she has learned to say her own name.  It sounds something like "Attie" or "A-tid" and it is precious.  She is mimicking almost everything I say...some of the funny ones are "appy" (apple), "rade-yo" (radio), "watch", chuse (juice), "ow" (owl - instead of saying "who who"), "ri" (ride - as in her horsey or on my back), "fon" (phone).

Life is not boring around here.

I simply cannot resist these sweaty ringlet curls that form while she naps.
