HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

My chubby Valentine (that would be, Astrid) and I came over to Washington to cheer up Grandpa (we're still here through the weekend), who is recovering from surgery this week. Jeff was in Las Vegas for an NAI Convention and joined us yesterday afternoon.

Astrid has outgrown her other carseat (which seemed easier to get around the airport) since the last trip we traveled by ourselves without Daddy (Oct)...it took a little juggling to be able to carry everything. Thank goodness for this sling that I borrowed from Angel awhile back, or I'm not sure we could have done it!

Grandma Diane, Astrid and I went to the hospital when we got here to pick up Grandpa Lee... That night Grandpa was rolling around on the floor with Astrid (I'm sure, against Dr's orders!)

The next night we bundled up and took a walk around the block with him.


On Friday Grandma helped get Astrid all shined up.



This morning Jeff and Astrid took a catnap after a long restless night (for Mama!). Either Astrid is cutting another tooth, or she didn't appreciate being relegated to the floor last night! Needless to say, we are buying a porta crib for Grandma & Grandpa's house today.
