A couple days ago while talking with Mom, she intimated she misses my nature photos... I do to. I have been completely uninspired to just stroll along through the woods these days. Usually I'm on a mission...if it is nice enough to be out with Astrid, I'm just trying to get a workout/hike in before she gets too cold, or hungry, etc... If I'm out running without Astrid I'm constantly wondering how she and Jeff are doing at home.
Not to hurry the season along (I love winter) but I'm looking forward to the longer days of the year. I'm already starting to notice the light lingering in the sky so much later in the evening... and I start to feel a magnificent revival in my spirit during this change every year.
For my birthday last month Jeff gave me the gift of a camera, a digital SLR, but I am still on a waiting list! I was #5, now I'm #3!... I hope to get it by the end of this month or early March. That will surely help this creative dry spell.
My girls and I got out for an a beautiful hike on Thursday afternoon when the sun was trying to peek out from behind the clouds down the Bitterroot. Perfect temperature: 37 degrees (slight wind). We just flew up the mountain, too...
