But this morning Kathy and Gudren and their dogs went up to the top with Skag and me.
It was an awesome morning and the higher we climbed the more energy I had. It was just one of those days. As we approached the top it started pouring rain on us - - - and all the way down the rain kept coming! It was so cool!! Three sopping wet girls with three sopping wet dogs...
I found a very cool flower that I have never identified before. It is called Waterleaf. My wildflower book says it "Blooms about the time the first Canada goose goslings hatch and take to the water." I spotted it in a rocky spot under the tree that you have to walk under to get to the top.
It is young so all the flowers haven't developed yet, but still very pretty.
I pick about one bouquet a year from Sentinel since I usually just take pictures - and today was that day!
I left the bouquet at Jeff's office for all to enjoy. It has 9 different wildflowers in it: Arrowleaf Balsamroot, Larkspur, Biscuitroot, Yarrow, Early Paintbrush, Lupine, Death Camas, Gromwell, & Salsify. Enjoy!
