We snazzed up and went to Jeff's Christmas party on Monday

Jeff took me out to one of my favorite restaurants for my birthday, and several of my friends have spoiled me silly this week!
For the last couple of days I have been crying like a baby (speaking of babies) since I got a newsletter from Primal Quest announcing that they are planning on staging the 2008 race in Montana. I am getting over it, but it was a pretty big blow. Not only am I due at the same time as the race, but it is taking place in my state and I can't participate (or, spectate for that matter, since I will most likely need to be close to Missoula for child birth!). PQ's base operations will be at Big Sky Ski Resort according to an article that was in the Billings Gazette today! I can't wait to tell this story to our child someday...
I have done lots and lots of biking and hiking in this area of Montana and the racers are in for a treat! The Madison Range, the Gallatin Range and I hope they get to see the Tobacco Roots (my fave).
I can't wait to post pictures of the gift I gave everyone on my Christmas list this year...until Christmas - it is a surprise! Here's a hint - this project has been over a year in the making and I finally got to make a dream of mine - a reality! And I couldn't be happier with the result!
Oh - I can't resist - I have to post this picture of Skagit in her favorite spot up at the lake where she spent a good part of Sunday morning...
