I took Skagit into the vet this morning to get her spayed and also to get her dew claws removed while she was under. She will never be a mama yet she would be such a great one...
Anyway, the saddest part was when I came in to pick her up and met with the Veterinarian Greg Hanich about what we were supposed to do over the next ten days... They brought her into the room and I almost burst out crying. She looked sad and tired and freaked out by this cone she has to wear around her neck to keep from chewing her paws and stitches.
I got her home and currently she is snuggled up next to my other sick puppy, her daddy, who stayed home sick today. In the 8 years I have known Jeff I have never seen him stay home sick. I'm glad he did so I could make him some chicken noodle soup... They are quite a sorry pair!
We tried taking the silly cone off her head - but it wasn't too long before she started picking at her bandages on her ankles...sorry Skagit, you'll feel better soon. And you, too, Jeffrey!
